4-MPhil scholars defended their theses at Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar. They were Mr. Jamil Afridi, Mr. Abid Marwat, Mr. Roaid Khan and Miss Hadia Naz. They worked under the supervision of Prof Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam, Prof Dr. Fazli Rahim Marwat, Prof Dr. Abdullah Khan and Prof Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan. External Examiners were Prof Dr. Naushad Khan (Pro VC Islamia College), Prof Dr. Qasim Marwat (BRAINS University), Dr. Abdur Rahman (Sheikh Zayed Centre) and Dr Manzur Afridi (International Islamic University Islamabad). Director Prof Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam said that during the past 8 months, PSC has arranged 2 PhD and 11 MPhil defenses. Two more PhD and several MPhil vivas are in the pipeline. 


Prof. Dr. Fakhar-ul-Islam attended National Training workshop as Resource Person. The workshop was organized by International Research Council for Religious Affairs (IRCRA). His topic was “Democratic Institutions (Parliament, Judiciary and Media)”. IRCRA chief Mr. Tahmeed Jan thanked Dr. Fakhar for educating young professionals and political workers.  


A delegation from Turkish organization Pak-Turk Mauarif Foundation visited Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar. The leader of the delegation Mr. Mehmet Cercikaya met Director of the Centre Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam. They discussed academic, research and other matters of mutual interest.
