University of Peshawar


A two member delegation from Afghanistan visited Pakistan Study Centre. The delegation comprised of Mr Asadullah Farooqi, Cultural Attaché of Embassy of Afghanistan in Pakistan and Mr. Amanullah Nasrat, chairman Afghan Cultural Society. The delegation discussed matters of bilateral interest with Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam, Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar. They donated books to the Centre's library. 


The Advance Studies and Research Board (ASRB) University of Peshawar approved two PhD proposals of Pakistan Study Centre. The meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muammad Abid. Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam. Director Pakistan Study Centre, University of Peshawar also attended the meeting. 

Prof. Dr. Fakhrul Islam, Director Pakistan Study Centre was chief guest and keynote speaker at the 2-day provincial stakeholders workshop organized by Faith Friends Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Worksop was attended by representatives from Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Christianity and Bahai community. In his speech, Dr. Fakhar stressed the need of protecting minority rights. He said that non Muslim Pakistanis are hardworking and patriots. He paid rich tributes to Faith Friends for their services regarding Interfaith harmony. The workshop was also addressed by Qari Muhammad Tayeb, khateeb Mahabat Khan mosque.
