Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar Prof Dr Fakhr-ul-Islam was key note speaker at a conference arranged by Iranian Cultural Centre at City Girls College Peshawar. The theme of the conference was “Women’s Cultural Advancement from Islamic Perspective”. Aqa Mehran Sikandari, Director General Khana Farhan Iran presided over the conference. 

Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam said that Islam is a women-friendly religion. The history of Islam bears testimony to the fact that it gave women their legitimate rights. He said that once women registered a complaint with the Holy Prophet (PBUOH) that he is always busy with men and women found little time to benefit from his company. The Holy Prophet (PBUOH) reserved some days of week for women. Women were also encouraged to come to the Prophet’s mosque. Dr. Fakhr stressed the need for creation of awareness among women regarding their rights.

2.     Mr. Imtiaz Ali, under the supervision of Dr. Khan Faqir. (Police Reforms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 2013-18: An Appraisal)

Prof. Dr. Fakhr-ul-Islam Director Pakistan Study Centre University of Peshawar presided over Hamdard Foundation's Seminar on Objectives Resolution at Peshawar Garrison Club. Prof Dr Fazlur Rahman was guest speaker. The seminar was attended by a largenumber of people belonging to different walks of life.
